Hailed as a “revelation” by New York Concert Review and a “shining presence” by Seen and Heard International, soprano Alaysha Fox continues to distinguish herself through performances spanning opera, theatre, and concert repertoire. In the 2026 season, she portrayed Teresa Salieri in Amadeus at Pasadena Playhouse and Seleuce in Handel’s Tolomeo with Opera Essentia. Upcoming engagements include Micaëla in Bizet’s Carmen with Opera Grand Rapids in 2027. Recent seasons have also featured Mary in The Three Women of Jerusalem with LA Opera, Nedda in Pagliacci with Opera Santa Barbara, and appearances as soprano soloist in Verdi’s Requiem and Marc-André Bougie’s Magnificat at Carnegie Hall.

Ms. Fox recently made her house debut with Opera Maine as the High Priestess in Aida while covering the title role, joined Chicago Opera Theater as cover for Susie “Mama Sue” MacDonald in the world premiere of Jasmine Barnes’ She Who Dared, and appeared as Lady Clarence in Saint-Saëns’ Henry VIII at Bard SummerScape. She has also joined the roster of the Lyric Opera of Chicago as cover Elisabeth de Valois in Don Carlos and returned frequently to LA Opera in both principal and covering assignments.

A graduate of LA Opera’s Domingo-Colburn-Stein Young Artist Program, Ms. Fox has appeared with the company as Mary in The Three Women of Jerusalem, the High Priestess in Aida, Dorothée in The Anonymous Lover, and the Female Chorus in The Rape of Lucretia. Additional credits include Giorgetta in Il tabarro with Opera Santa Barbara, the Bridesmaid in Le nozze di Figaro with Santa Fe Opera, and Lady Macbeth in Bloch’s Macbeth.

On the concert stage, Ms. Fox has appeared at Carnegie Hall and with organizations including the LA Philharmonic, Metropolitan Opera, Palm Springs Opera Guild, and Sag Harbor Song Festival. Her honors include First Prize in the Palm Springs Opera Guild Competition, Grand Finalist status in the Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition, and finalist appearances in Houston Grand Opera’s Concert of Arias and the Loren L. Zachary Competition.

Ms. Fox holds Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from Manhattan School of Music.
