American mezzo-soprano Allison Fahey was most recently an Apprentice Singer with The Santa Fe Opera, where she covered Grimgerde in Wagner’s Die Walküre. In summer 2026, she will join Festival Napa Valley as a Manetti Shrem Opera Fellow, performing the role of Joanne Depuy in the world premiere of Jake Heggie’s The Judgment of Paris.

Previously, she was a Bailey Apprentice Artist with Palm Beach Opera, covering Stéphano in Gounod’s Roméo et Juliette and Flora in Verdi’s La traviata. She made her professional debut with the Lakes Area Music Festival as Mother Goose in Stravinsky’s The Rake’s Progress, also covering Baba the Turk.

Additional credits include Baba the Turk and La Ciesca in Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi with Yale Opera. In 2023, she joined Des Moines Metro Opera as an Apprentice Artist, covering Clarice in Prokofiev’s The Love for Three Oranges. At Yale Opera, she sang the title role in Britten’s The Rape of Lucretia and Bradamante in Handel’s Alcina. On the concert stage, she has appeared in Handel’s Messiah with the Waterbury Symphony and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 with the Yale Symphony Orchestra. Allison holds degrees from the Yale School of Music and Stetson University.
