Brandon Bell (he/him/his) is an American baritone celebrated for vivid vocal storytelling across opera, musical theater, and contemporary performance. A champion of new works and a versatile singing actor, he has performed with companies including Opera Philadelphia, Virginia Opera, Santa Fe Opera, Union Avenue Opera, Heartbeat Opera, and the Marlboro Music Festival, among many others. His recent engagements include role debuts as the Baker in Into the Woods with Union Avenue Opera — praised for his “strong dramatic baritone” (Broadway World) and “expressive acting and strong vocals” (PopLifeSTL) — and Marcello in La bohème with Borderland Arts Foundation, as well as Moralès in Carmen with Virginia Opera. In concert, he has appeared as soloist with the California Symphony, Cape Symphony, and Cincinnati Song Initiative, and has championed the art song repertoire through collaborations with Brooklyn Art Song Society and Salt Creek Song Festival.A dedicated advocate for contemporary opera, Mr. Bell has participated in workshops with Opera Philadelphia, Houston Grand Opera, and Cincinnati Opera/CCM Opera, and has taken part in world premieres with Fort Worth Opera, Wolf Trap Opera, and others. He was recently selected as an Emerging Artist with Opera Philadelphia for 2025–2026, where he will sing Antonio in Il viaggio a Reims and appear in the workshop and world premiere of Complications in Sue. Upcoming engagements also include role debuts as Masetto in Don Giovanni with Annapolis Opera and Dandini in Cinderella with Salt Marsh Opera, and a return to the Marlboro Music Festival as a Festival Artist.
