Ryan Wolfe
Baritone
My name is Ryan Wolfe and I am from Arlington Heights, IL. I received my BM from DePaul University and my MM from the University of Cincinnati-CCM. In 2024, I finished the Domingo-Colburn-Stein Young Artist Program at the Los Angeles Opera. During my two years there, I amassed over forty performances with the company from leading roles to comprimario roles including a morning-of jump in for the final dress rehearsal as the title role in El último sueño de Frida y Diego.
Since graduating from that program, I have appeared with The Santa Fe Opera, the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Wolf Trap Opera, San Diego Opera, and The Atlanta Opera to name a few. In 2025, I was named a National Semifinalist in the Metropolitan Opera Eric and Dominique Laffont Competition and a Career Development Grant recipient from The Sullivan Foundation.
Currently, I am covering Papageno in The Magic Flute and singing Marius Wegner in Lili Elbe with The Santa Fe Opera. Next season’s highlights include a return to Los Angeles Opera to sing Morales in Carmen and joining the roster of The Lyric Opera of Chicago to cover both Marquis D’Obigny and Baron Duphol in La traviata.
